The Museum of Jade Art
Museum founder Soofeen Hu was born in Burma, the birthplace of jadeite. A major turning point came in 1995 when Hu visited the National Palace Museum. After staring transfixedat the Jadeite Cabbage With Insects, he was inspired to throw himself headlong into jade art, motivated by one simple thought: "China cannot be with just the one "Jadeite Cabbage With Insects!" Hu founded the museum, a venue for research, display, and education.
Spatial planning at the Museum of Jade Art was provided by noted architect Eric Yao, who sought by means of careful precision and an innovative aesthetic sense to flesh out a design concept based on "mankind." A white-based color scheme is adopted throughout the entire museum. Most of the display cabinets stand away from the walls to create increased possibilities for dialogue between people and the works.
You can find it amazing and fabulous everywhere. Welcome to Museum of Jade Art.
